The World Trademark Review’s prestigious WTR 1000 identifies leading practitioners in 80+ jurisdictions through competitor and client interviews. The 2025 rankings were published last week.

Practice leader Jeffrey Vicq and partner Athar Malik were again named to the WTR 1000 list for Canada, with colleague David Bowden joining them for the first time.

Jeffrey was lauded for “thinking creatively to overcome challenges and pushing the boundaries of what is possible” for clients. Athar was noted for “providing sage advice and managing large-scale portfolios.” And David was recognized as the group’s “dispute resolution expert and innovative problem solver”, who “regularly devises practical solutions and reaches favourable results without the need to enter the courtroom.”

More broadly, Clark Wilson’s entire trademark team was again acknowledged, being described as “a team of strategic experts”, standing “as a premiere destination for trademark services in Canada” having built “long term relationships with their clients through providing commercially savvy advice that gets results”.

This ranking further confirms the positioning of Jeffrey, Athar, David and the Clark Wilson trademark team near the forefront of this increasingly competitive industry.
