Rick Hansen Announces:
“LYALL KNOTT BC NEUROTRAUMA PROFESSORSHIP ENDOWMENT”
On behalf of the Rick Hansen Foundation, Rick Hansen is pleased to announce the naming of the “LYALL KNOTT BC NEUROTRAUMA PROFESSORSHIP ENDOWMENT”. The income from the $2.5 million dollar endowment supports a professorship and research in neurotrauma.
This honour is conferred upon Mr. Knott in recognition of his many years of service to the Rick Hansen Foundation as a Board Member and Chair. Lyall Knott, Q.C. is a partner in Clark Wilson LLP and is the Honourary Consul General of Tunisia. Mr. Knott is a recipient of the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. He is a former Honourary Capitan of the Royal Canadian Navy Pacific Fleet and served as a Canadian Commissioner on the International Joint Commission.
The Endowment is held at the Faculty of Medicine at UBC and the current recipient is Dr. Matt Ramer.
