During my summer experience at Clark Wilson I had the opportunity to work on a variety of interesting files in various practice areas. For example, I drafted closing submissions for a trial, prepared materials for a summary trial application, assisted with a factum for an appeal to the federal court, attended an examination for discovery, witnessed a will, and even got to correspond directly with a client about her legal matter. In general, all the lawyers I worked with allowed me to take on a high level of responsibility and ownership of the files and tasks I worked on, while also giving me the support I needed to succeed. I always felt my work was valued and that I was part of the team at Clark Wilson, and I look forward to joining the other summer students in returning for our articles next year!
