Clark Wilson LLP is pleased to welcome a new partner, Chris Ramsay, to lead the firm’s Insolvency & Restructuring Group. Chris acts for a wide range of stakeholders that are impacted by insolvency, including insolvent companies that require restructuring, creditors, bondholders, directors and officers and shareholders, and also advises insolvency professionals (including trustees, receivers and monitors). Chris also has extensive experience advising on a wide range of business disputes and issues, including acting for shareholders and other stakeholders in the context of adversarial proceedings in both arbitration and court proceedings. He has practised in British Columbia for 19 years but started his legal career as a Barrister-at-Law in London, England having been called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1990. He was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 1996.
The firm also welcomes Katie Mak as an associate with the Insolvency & Restructuring Group. Katie received her Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Victoria in 2012 and was called to the Bar of British Columbia in 2013.
