The following new rules apply to provincially-regulated businesses:

  1. Effective March 11, 2022 at 12:01am, masks are no longer required in common areas of workplaces;
  2. Effective April 8, 2022 at 12:01am, BC vaccination cards are no longer required for indoor spaces (excluding health professionals in health care settings); and
  3. Effective April 8, 2022 at 12:01am, businesses will no longer be required to follow their COVID-19 plan and will revert to their communicable disease plan.

Despite the elimination of the requirement to be masked in common areas of workplaces, employers have the discretion to continue mask use by way of workplace policy.

All federally-regulated business must still follow federal COVID-19 orders.
